Brittany Wiser

Miss Montana USA 2O11 - Brittany Wiser

TIB Who is Brittany Wiser? Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

Brittany I am a girl who grew up in a small town in Montana—seriously, one of the only places in this world that I honestly would not be surprised if a bear or a moose ran through my backyard—and now, I am getting ready to represent my home state on the stage of Miss USA. To me, this is the epitome of the American Dream—I am a girl from a rural mountain town who had big dreams, set even bigger goals, and now has the opportunity to make an incredible difference in this world.

TIB Tell us something that will make us remember you.
Brittany I know how to bugle for moose. That’s right, I can bugle for moose.

TIB Can you tell us 3 things that you think are typically Montana?
You know you are from Montana when …
1. The elevation of your town is higher than the population
2. Your boyfriend buys you snow tires for Valentine’s Day
3. You can leave your keys in your car overnight and it will still be there in the morning

TIB  What do you think is the difference between the Miss America pageant and the Miss USA pageant?

Brittany Miss America is a Scholarship Program and Miss USA is a Beauty Pageant. Having represented Montana at the 2010 Miss America Pageant, and now having the opportunity to represent my home state again, this time at Miss USA, I can say firsthand that both programs provide young women incredible opportunities for personal growth, development, and leadership. Participation in both programs has with out a doubt made me a better person and has had a significant impact on my life.

TIB How will pageant competitions help you develop as a person?

Brittany Pageants truly provide endless opportunities for personal development because they are one area of life where you are able to take time to focus on yourself and to work on becoming a better person. This opportunity to become the best “Brittany” that I can be, to discover the things I truly like, the things I truly believe in, and the things I truly stand for has been the most incredible period of personal development that I could ever ask for.

TIB If you could be a super hero, who would you be and why?

Brittany I would LOVE to be the modern-day super hero, Sidney Bristow (Jennifer Garner) from Alias. Not only is she incredibly strong and intelligent, but people are always telling me that we look like sisters!

TIB If someone ask you: "Can I borrow 20 bucks?" Your answer?

Brittany Of course!

TIB Which word do you not like to hear at all? Why?

Brittany “Can’t.” I strongly believe in the power of the mind and as Henry Ford once said, “whether you think you can or you think you can’t you are right.”

TIB What song brings lump to your throat every time you hear it?

Brittany “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” This was my favorite song growing up and my Nana and I used to sing it together all of the time.

TIB If I gave you an elephant where would you hide it?

Brittany I would probably hide it somewhere extremely obvious—like my front yard. I have found that it is very easy for people to overlook what is right in front of them.

TIB What do you think when you look the situation of the Japan?

Brittany International volunteerism and humanitarian work are huge passions of mine. I wish with every fiber of my body that I was in Japan helping right now.

TIB What special message do you have for your fans, and to all people around the world?

Brittany Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! There truly are no words that describe how much your love and support motivate and inspire me. Thank you! It means the world to me.
